I took the hubs on a date this week…doesn’t get much more romantic than Chipotle and Harry Potter, right? But really, going to this movie theater is just a coverup for my pinball addiction. They took away the Pirates of the Caribbean machine I had mastered and replaced it with a Rolling Stones one. Mick kept pulling gnarly blocks on me! If it hadn’t been the old man’s birthday that day, I wouldn’t have let him get away with it….
I will never be able to put down my Canon PowerShot…but I do make an effort to pick up my other cameras as well. My whole family took a week to relax in Douglas, Michigan….right on the lake. Though one of my favorite beach activities, shell collecting, wasn’t possible, the vacation lacked in no other department. Here are a few nice shots from my thrift store Konica C35.
I’m learning this for a friend’s first wedding dance. Super cute.
*or so they say.
There once was a clock. The World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock (which doesn’t seem to be true, but oh well. It’s still really big). It was built in 1972 in Wilmot at the Alpine Alpa Restaurant. A millionaire in Sugarcreek bought it up and we are preparing to put it downtown. It sat alone for a long time. And it really showed. My Art Club kids were asked to restore the figures. After coming up with names and back stories for all of the band members, we got down to business.
This was taken with Holga, but it best shows the wear and tear.
In it’s previous state….can’t wait to see it in action again.
The fourth definitely brought out the madness in folks…but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My sisters and I premiered a new cover tonight…and I am simply in love with it. Enjoy.
p.s. I love our little friend at 2:13. He kept coming back the entire performance.
