Recently┬áposts are a lovely little patchwork of those random moments that happen through the week….or in this case, over the past few weeks. Co-directing a musical is no laughing matter. It really consumes your life….but in a good way.

I’ve only ever given one detention in my entire teaching career and that was just a joke. Instead, if a kid says something they shouldn’t, they have to put something in the jar. Sometimes they give me sticks of gum, their exacto knife, loose change, wooden cut-outs of my name they make in shop class. But when the kids started making rage faces of me, I knew the jar needed remodeled.

My little cuckoo clock family left me the other day. I feel a little empty inside.

YIKES. Dropping your MacBook definitely makes your heart skip a beat. Luckily, no damage.

I started to get a little worried when they began reorganizing Ikea last year.

The set is coming along. Not quickly, but nicely.

So happy to be able to play outside again.

What have you been up to recently?

Tuesday Tunage.

One of my favorite iPhone apps is Shazam….I can find out what amazing song is playing in the background wherever I am. I’ve been going through the over 200 tags I’ve accumulated over the past couple years and rediscovering little gems like this one. Enjoy.

The Govs

My students submitted nearly 70 pieces to the Ohio Youth Governor’s Exhibition this weekend. Got four picked!

Not only did these get picked, but the artwork that my art club made with the dogs at the local Humane Society was auctioned off at their annual fundraiser for $1200.

It was a good day for this art teacher.
