I’ve probably listened to this song 200 times since I first heard it. Most of that was within this last week. On repeat. Endlessly.
Recently posts are a place for pics that don’t quite warrant their own entry to exist together. A lovely little patchwork of those random moments that happen through the week.
We had a quiet Wacky Wednesday Craft Club this week with only one member showing up. So we made pizzas and watched Attack the Block. Pretty nice little evening.
My friend Rit commented on Facebook, “Hello?!? Yes. This is baby!”
Crackin me up.
The crow parties have started again behind my house. The noise is pretty incredible.
I see you.
We’re wrapping the clock up. I’ll miss my little wooden family when they aren’t living in my storage room anymore.
Awesome. In the true sense of the word.
This was my third Art Educator Workshop. It’s a great day where all the area teachers get together to network, exchange lesson plans, catch up on important art ed issues, and do some kind of art workshop. This year we got to paint alongside Yan Sun. It was fantastic to watch everyone paint from a model…something I haven’t done in years.
I’m trying to get more comfortable with watercolor and didn’t want to worry about hue…just shades and washes. Yan was so cute, he didn’t quite understand why I did this and asked, “You know her skin isn’t blue?” Um yes, I know. :)
Some of the other’s were beautiful:
I feel like I’m always apologizing about crickets around here….but crickets are supposed to be good luck, right? Here’s some randomness from the last few weeks.
The boys (well, they’re men…grown men) play games every Monday evening. Formula Dé is a cool French game where I get to show off my stick shift skillz.
For my friend’s bachelor/bachelorette/party but not really get-together, we got to hang out at his millionaire boss’s amazing cabin. The bathroom, however, was aesthetically questionable at best.
I found this while thrifting. $3. Perfect for the man for our fourth wedding anniversary. “A Love Letter.”
The one nice thing about waking up at 5:30am.
Mini Bittner from Taggart’s in Canton, Ohio. Drooooooool….
Poor, poor Pietje. He’s on a restricted diet and on the ‘roids. He has lost five pounds in two weeks so now he only weighs 52 pounds. My skinny little man. We’ll beat these allergies!
My Baby Friend Forever cracks me up every time.
It’s exactly the same every year, but I think that’s what draws us back.
Apparently there was some drama involved with the Heaviest Pumpkin competition this year and this really was the winner.
A must see.
I didn’t even win Mardi Gras beads this year. Sigh.
The photobooth ate our picture. So, as per usual, I ain’t afraid to hunt down the carnie and make him open it up for me. But we missed out on an Amelie-esque opportunity. When he opened the machine, there were three or four other photos stuck in there from people who had given up waiting. I should have asked if we could keep them. Darn.
One of my favorite newer friends, Jane Boston of Alphabet, had a 24th birthday recently. It was supposed to be a surprise….but she surprised everyone by sneaking in cause she found out about it. So it goes. But we did an awesome job creating a Lisa Frank themed party and a magnificent rainbow cake.
That’s right. I’m on another one. Thirty days. Mostly so I can afford the UMAZIN tattoo I’m about to get on Friday. Pics to come! I ended up at UO this past weekend, so the last thing I bought before my hiatus was another member to add to my Dunny family. He’ll fit right in.
I seriously need to stop saving dresses from the Halloween racks at Goodwill.
