About
Mallory Gerstacker has been teaching art in some way since she earned her Bachelors of Art from Kent State University in 2006. She is currently working from home on a variety of commissioned projects and developing creative ideas that will benefit her community. Students from many walks of life have come through her classroom doors; small children, high schoolers, adults, nursing home residents, at-risk youth, event attendees, and even other art teachers! In her personal journey to a more sustainable lifestyle, she realized that her art education career could also use an eco-overhaul. She strives to help her students utilize unwanted materials in beautiful, creative ways that they will treasure forever. Mallory earned her status as a “Master Recycler” in 2019 and is considered a leader in local recycling efforts.
